Cin TV sinks teeth into 'Dracula'
3D docu feature draws on Dacre Stoker book
Film takes in the true story of Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia -- now part of Romania -- a 15th century ruler better-known by his Romanian surname, Dracula.
Best-selling author Dacre Stoker ("The Un-Dead"), Stoker's great-grand-nephew, is to helm, working from his new novel, "Dracula Meets Stoker." The docu will be a kind of "making of" the novel, said a production company source.

It will open theatrically in 2012, to commemorate the centenary of the Irish gothic author's death. Pic's release will be accompanied by the publication of Dacre Stoker's novel by Spain's Iniciativa Mercurio, which partners on the project.
Cin TV is the docu producer-distrib arm of conglom Vertice 360, one of Spain's largest production and post-production companies. The company, which specializes in wildlife and social-issue docus, produced pioneering HD series "Water Life," and co-produced Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud's "Oceans."
